Breathe (listed on the App Store as Breathe: Quit vaping) is a stress and peer-pressure companion app built to help teens work through urges to vape, track their mood, and practice handling peer pressure. This page explains what information the app collects, how it's used, and how you can control or delete it.
Breathe is developed by Elevate. For any question about this policy, or to request that your data be deleted, contact ganganala@gmail.com.
Breathe is intended for teens age 13 and older. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used the app and provided personal information, contact us at the email above and we will delete it.
Your data is used only to run the app for you: showing your own mood patterns and insights, keeping your streak accurate, and letting your check-ins follow you if you sign in on a different device. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell it to anyone.
Your account and activity data are stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore), and sign-in is handled by Google and, where used, Apple. These providers act only as infrastructure for running the app — they are not given access to use your data for their own purposes. Access to your data is restricted so that only your own signed-in account can read or write it.
If you sign up without linking a Google or Apple account, your account has no email or password attached to it. This means that if you log out, switch phones, or reinstall the app, your check-ins and streak cannot be recovered — there is no way for us to verify the account is yours. The app warns you about this before you log out, and offers a way to link a Google or Apple account at any time to make your data recoverable.
You can delete your account yourself from inside the app: open Resources and tap Delete my account and data. This permanently erases your check-ins, triggers, coping-tool history, streak, profile, and any counselor or buddy contact you saved, along with the sign-in record itself. It happens immediately and cannot be undone.
If you can no longer sign in, email ganganala@gmail.com from the email address linked to your account (or include your user ID if you signed up manually) and we will delete it and confirm once it's done.
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
