Common questions

I signed up without Google or Apple and lost my data

A manual sign-up has no email or password attached, so there's no way to verify the account is yours after you log out or switch phones — that data can't be recovered. To keep your check-ins safe, open the app and tap Link Google account or Link Apple account on the home screen. Your streak and history carry over, and the account works on any device after that.

The app says I'm offline

Breathe loads your check-ins from your account, so it needs an internet connection to start. Reconnect and tap Try again.

How do I delete my account and data?

Open Resources in the app and tap Delete my account and data. That erases your check-ins, streak, history, and the sign-in record itself straight away — it can't be undone. If you can't sign in any more, email ganganala@gmail.com from the address linked to your account (or include your user ID if you signed up manually) and we'll do it for you.

What does the app store about me?

See the Privacy Policy for the full list. In short: your name and email if you sign in with Google or Apple, your mood check-ins, which triggers and coping tools you use, your streak, and any counselor or buddy contact you choose to add. Anything you type into a reflection tool is never saved.
